Frequently Asked Questions

Check back frequently!  As the staff fields your questions, we will posting answers and information here - so it might save you an email!  If you have a question you can't find the answer to below, please email us!

I'm a teenager.  Should I audition with the kids of with the adults?

Good question.  If you are a teen (or a tween) we recommend you audition at adult auditions.  If the staff would like to audition you for a munchkin or other child role, you may be asked to return to children's callbacks.

What should I sing for auditions?

Keep your eye on our blog, as we will be posting specific music cuts for children's auditions and adult auditions. We recommend that you choose a piece of music from the show, especially if you are interested in a specific role.  Even if you are auditioning for a non-singing role (i.e. The Wicked Witch) you will still be required to sing, so try to find something that shows off your strengths/character voice.

How old do you have to be to audition for a munchkin?

The Muni policy is that you must be 8 years old on the day of auditions to participate.

There are no ages listed with the lead parts.  Do you have to be a specific age to audition for these parts?

Because there is such a wide range of possibilities, there are no specific age limits for any of the lead or featured roles.  These parts will be cast relative to the ages of people who audition, so people of all ages are encouraged to try for these parts.

I don't want to audition, but I would love to get involved with Muni.  What do I do?

There are lots of different and exciting ways to be a part of Muni's Summer Under The Stars!  Email us or visit the Muni website to contact someone about volunteering!  Even if you aren't cast in a show this summer, there are great ways to be involved!
